Although nothing over throughout the years has come close to the massive and consistent success of Call of Duty, we have had recent FPS games attempt to become the new COD killer. From XDefiant with classic TDM Modes to Ready or Not with their more realistic militia gameplay focussing on graphics and comms. Whilst Six Days in Fallujah has received controversy for its contents, its overall reception since its Early Access release has been positive for the community playing the game. Comparing further to Call of Duty, Six Days in Fallujah attempts to go for all-out realism with using real-time functions and comms that strengthen the game’s realism.
COD has never truly hit close to realism in these senses, likely due to the simpler and easier format that they have always used in their games. A prime example being how to heal in an FPS game. Due to its differences, you may find yourself waiting for your heal to regenerate in Six Days in Fallujah, but with no health regeneration, knowing how to heal will save your life. Therefore, this is Vincent’s guide on how to heal in Six Days in Fallujah.

A Realistic Way of Healing for Six Days in Fallujah
In Call of Duty, players would always naturally heal over time, regardless of where they were shot or how severe the damages were. In Multiplayer, all you would need to do to heal is run away, go into cover and wait approximately 5 seconds before your health regenerated. It promoted faster gameplay with more action than ever, whilst taking away from the realism aspect of Call of Duty. But for Six Days in Fallujah, the healing process would add more realism. Similar to the latest Frictional Games horror – Amnesia: The Bunker, healing is a two-part process. First you can look at your body to assess the damage, then decide whether or not you want to heal.
In order to heal in Six Days in Fallujah, players simply need to get into cover or away from danger. Once done, your character will naturally assess the wounds upon crouching or standing still. This is done regardless of how much damage you take. You do not need to click a button to evaluate your wounds. Your character will check his wound, showing you if he is bleeding or not by the amount of blood present on his fingertips. If you note that you are heavily injured and bleeding more than you would like, you can then patch yourself up using a Bandage via ‘F’ on Keyboard. The game will often show you the healing prompt if you are bleeding heavily after checking your wounds.
