Where to find the Reaper Cloth in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Out of all of the late-stage evolutions introduced in the fourth generation of Pokémon, Dusknoir is definitely one of the coolest. And I’m not just saying that because I had a Dusknoir back in the day that won a bunch of hard fights for me that I miss very, very much. Okay, that’s a big factor. But that aside, it’s a very versatile Pokémon with a cool design, and any team would be improved by its presence. Of course, to get that presence, you need to evolve a Dusclops, and to do that, you need a Reaper Cloth. Here’s where to find the Reaper Cloth in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

The Reaper Cloth is one of the special held items needed for additional evolutions in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. If you give one to a Dusclops to hold, then trade that Dusclops with a friend, it’ll evolve into a Dusknoir. Luckily, there’s an easily-located Reaper Cloth over on Route 229, located in the post-game Battle Zone sub-region.

Where to find the Reaper Cloth in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

To find the Reaper Cloth in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl:

1. Enter Route 229 from the South (Resort Area)
2. Find a small tree in front of a narrow passageway and remove it with Cut
3. Pick up the Reaper Cloth on the ground

Starting from the Resort Area, enter Route 229 from its southern entrance. You’ll need to pass by two Ace Trainers (by force, naturally) to enter a field of tall grass. On the right side of this field, you’ll see a rock and a small tree blocking a narrow passageway of trees. Use Cut to chop down the small tree and enter the passage, at the end of which you’ll find an item ball with the Reaper Cloth in it sitting on the ground.

Again, Reaper Cloth is one of the requirements to evolve Dusclops into Dusknoir in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
