Flower for the Departed is a level 59 New World quest that takes place in Ebonscale Reach. The problem with this quest is that the marker location is far from the actual quest objective. For that reason, you may be wandering around aimlessly for a bit looking for the Altar. “Place a Blossoming Flower on the Altar of the Departed in the Haunted Crypt for Elder Danya in the Ebonscale Reach Settlement.”

Where to find the Altar of the Departed in New World
To find the Altar of the Departed, you’ll need to venture down into the Crypts, located at the Skysong Crypt area in northern Ebonscale Reach. The entrance is located in the southwest region of the graveyards. Walk down the stairs into the Crypt, and follow the path. You will come to the Altar, which includes a tombstone and a few candles.
Walk over to the Altar and use your interact key to place the blossoming flower at it. After placing the flower, a Gold Elite Level 60 mob will spawn, and you’ll need to defeat it. It’s not too tough of a battle at levels 58-60, but be careful of the Skysong Faminegeist ghosts respawning behind you. If the ghosts respawn on you, it could make for a challenging fight, and you won’t enjoy the run back to this spot.
