With how cute and marketable it is, it’s easy to forget sometimes that Pokémon, as a franchise, is kinda messed up. For example, did you know that Phantump are actually stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died while lost in forests? Yeah. That’s in the PokéDex, look it up. Still, the occasionally disturbing nature of Pokémon does make it suited for the spooky season. Here’s a guide for part 1 of Pokémon GO’s Halloween Mischief event.
The Halloween Mischief event just started today, October 15th, and will be running until October 22nd. The second part of the event will begin immediately after that and will last until Halloween is over. Befitting the Halloween spirit, all players will receive double Candy from catching, hatching, and transferring Pokémon.
