When playing Minecraft Legends PvP you’d want to have the strongest base possible. But, your builder doesn’t have unlimited resources so you have to strategize and think in advance about where you will spend your precious and rare materials and where you can save up and use more common ones.

How to Build the Best PvP Base in Minecraft Legends?

There are a couple of layers of defense you will need to place and think about when you are creating the blueprint of your base. We have divided those layers into three categories:

  • Walls
  • Defensive structures
  • Supportive structures

Building Base Walls in PvP

When creating your base you should start from the wall layout. Naturally, you want to have a couple of levels of defense (Helm’s Deep style). Put your core in the center and surround it with stone walls (if you’ve got the resources). We didn’t say “walls” by accident, we really mean that you should put a thick layer of 2 or 3 walls around that central part.

Again, depending on how many resources you have we suggest having a small clearing between the core and its walls as well as those same walls and the next wall layer placement. This clearing in between walls creates levels that will allow you to place defensive or supportive structures that will buff up your overall defensive capabilities.

When saving up on resources, build wooden walls on the outside and stone walls on the inside. You can even build wooden walls on the inside as well but turn them into stone with the help of Masonry.

Lastly, don’t forget the gates. Even though you will need to have gates in order to move in and out of your base, gates are at the same time weak spots that the enemies will try to exploit. So, be careful and don’t make any unnecessary gate entrances.

Building Defenses in PvP

The basic defense buildings that everyone will most likely use are the arrow tower and the scatter tower. In short, arrow towers cover a lot of ground firing single shots, while scatter towers have a shorter range but fire multiple shots at the enemies (sort of an arrow shogun). Due to their affordable price, you will most likely be using these towers as your primary weapon against the invading enemy.

Make sure you place the arrow towers along the walls of your base so that they cover the whole ground around your walls. Scatter arrow towers can be placed near gates and in those spaces between the two levels of your defenses to welcome any invaders that are already inside your base or dangerously threatening to do so.

On the inside of your walls you should use the Mob spawners and the Ice traps. Use the Mob spawners when your base has been infiltrated to get some boots on the ground in addition to your towers. When it comes to Ice traps, build them near narrow passages and right next to the outer walls. The trick is, since they freeze anyone near them, they can also freeze the enemy on the other side of the wall if they are leaning on the inner part of the same wall. This small trick can give you an awesome upper hand in PvP since not many players would expect it.

In addition to these basic defenses, you can splash your valuable resources on a few stronger defensive structures if you want. One of the first things you should think about when in the expensive tower department is the Protector Tower. This tower is the only one that can defend you from a Redstone Launcher, a weapon described by some players as the ultimate PvP weapon in Minecraft Legends.

Other more expensive towers are power towers that branch out into three categories: knockback tower, slow tower, and stun tower. You need a good balance of damage and disable for incoming enemies so try to have a few of these scattered around at vital points of your base.

Building Supporting Structures in PvP

Walls and towers would be nothing without a decent supportive structure that would buff them up. When it comes to increasing the durability of all of your buildings you can use the Masonry and the Carpenter Hut. Masonry turns all buildings in its surroundings to stone, while the Carpenter Hut heals all those around it. Since their radius isn’t vast, try and place them strategically in places where you have the thickest wall or the most towers. Even placing these supporting structures near those expensive stronger towers can work since losing them will cost you a lot.

On the other hand, if you want to focus more on boosting the efficiency of your towers, you can go on and craft one of these:

  1. Kaboomery – allows Arrow Tower and Scatter Tower to fire explosive rounds
  2. Spyglass Overlook – increases the range of Arrow Tower and Scatter Tower
  3. Battle Drum – increases firing speed for Arrow Tower and Scatter Tower

Keep in mind that when these supporting structures are destroyed, their bonuses dissapear.
