How to Complete The Terrible Three Quest in WoW: Dragonflight

Nothing but a good old tiny battle to have a break from all that world-saving and political mumbo jumbo, am I right? Why do we have to burden ourselves with the weight of the world on our soldiers? Why can’t we just have a wonderful day below the sun and have the little pets that we just caught in the wild fight each other to the death for our own amusement or a sense of self-accomplishment? Wait, that sounds extremely wrong and borderline illegal. Oh well, here is how to complete The Terrible Three quest in World of Warcraft Dragonflight.

How to Complete The Terrible Three Quest

This is a very short and very particular quest. There are some quests that will have you face ginormous foes and relentless bosses. Some others will have you collect specific items all around the Dragon Isles, at least in the case of Dragonflight. But some of them will have you undertake a couple of turn-based action encounters by taking part in Pet Battles, the equivalent of Pokémon battles but in Azeroth. Anyway, before we talk about clearly crossover mechanics, the quest will have you fight against Haniko, who is located in The Walking Shores, more specifically at the southeast region called Drgonscale Basecamp.

The Terrible Three – Pet Alignment

Haniko will be just standing there, just interact with him and you will begin your battle. He has three dragonkin pets available for your encounter. You can find which ones they are and what abilities they use right in the table below.

Thanks to WoW players, a pet battle template has been formulated that will ensure you will be victorious 100% percent of the time. All you need to do is equip the following three pets or similar that will counter the three dragonkin pets that Haniko possesses:

The Terrible Three – Pet Battle Strategy

Once you have all the above pets in your arsenal, you will be ready to face Haniko. Just be sure to follow the steps below and you will be able to beat him and his dragonkin pets in no time. Well, it does take some time, but you get what I’m saying. Or at least I hope so.

• Use Acid Rain.
• Spam Dreadful Breath until your Blightbreath dies.
• Swap in your second pet (any pet).
• Attack with any attack you have until your Anubisath Idol is swapped in.
• Use Crush until you defeat all the pets, and use Deflection whenever needed.

This will be a very short interaction if you follow the steps above, so make sure to do just that and you will be completely fine. There are lots of pet battles across the Dragon Isles, so make sure to catch and level up your pets to the best of your abilities. Once you complete The Terrible Three quest, you will be rewarded with 9,050 experience points and 25 reputation with the Valdrakken Accord. Enjoy!
