Best Combo for Light Magic in Arcane Odyssey
Light magic, unfortunately, has more damaging interactions than helpful ones. Interestingly, there is only one magic type that Light magic pairs well with. Crystal magic can crystalize units if you land four consecutive hits on the enemy. Light magic, thankfully, deals 25% more damage against crystalized units, making Crystal magic the best (and only) magic combo for you.
Don’t regret your choice too much, as Light magic can blind opponents, which is a useful status effect in itself. Just make sure you choose Crystal magic as your second magic to make it worthwhile. If you really regret your choice, you can start again on a different save file.

Magic to Avoid
Light magic can actually do less damage to enemies suffering from certain status effects, leading to damaging combos.
- Against frozen targets, Light magic deals 30% less damage. Do not have Ice or Snow magic as secondary or tertiary magic.
- Against drained targets, Light magic deals 25% less damage. Do not have Shadow magic as secondary or tertiary magic.
As long as you don’t choose any of those magics, Ice, Snow or Shadow, your Light magic damage won’t suffer.
