Can You Go Back to Vavilov in Atomic Heart?

Point of no return?

Leaving an area and progressing further into a game is literally what you play for, isn’t it? Progress is the name of the game, metaphorically speaking. However, for the avid completionists, you’ve got to make sure you get everything. Sadly in some games continuing is the point and you can’t go back. Atomic Heart seems to focus on pushing forward so you’ve got to know when you can’t go back. This question is simple but necessary to ask. Can you go back to Vavilov in Atomic Heart?

Can you Go back to Vavilov?

Once you leave Vavilov you can never return. This is a sad revelation and quite a disappointing one. Atomic heart doesn’t seem to value the completionist mindset. It is unclear if you can come back once you’ve beaten the game, or if there is a new game plus. Likely you will just have to play the game over again and try a bit more to not miss anything the next run-through.

Some advice while playing the game in its entirety, don’t skip anything. We aren’t talking about the dialogue, you can definitely skip that if you want. However as you travel through each map, constantly use your scanner ability. Scan constantly and go to every blue glowing light you see. These points of interest are usually full of materials for assembling weapons and items.

Additionally, this is how you find blueprints for new weapons as well. It’s the blueprints to a cool and more advanced weapon that is going to make you kick yourself if you miss it for not checking every single room and building along the way. Vavilov especially has the Kalash AK-47 which is one of the better guns in the game. So when you’re in Vavilov, check every single room, and don’t be afraid to scan to make sure you got everything.
