Hogwarts Legacy is game based off of the Harry Potter books and movies. It’s a game set about 100 years before Harry Potter was told he’s a wizard and he should go to Hogwarts. You start the game set in 1980 where you play as your own character who learns they have the ability to use ancient magic. As you continue your journey, meet new friends, and learn magic starting as a fifth year student you come across the Room of Requirement. This is a mystical room that appears when the wizard or witch really needs something. It’s your own private quarters where you can craft potions, give your gear upgrades, and plant ingredients. Here are some of the best decoration ideas for Room of Requirement in Hogwarts Legacy.
Room of Requirement Hogwarts Legacy
In order to gain access to the Room of Requirement you’re going to want to continue the main story line. It’s a fairly obvious quest line because it says Room of Requirement. Just beat that and you’ll gain access to the room and you’ll learn how to decorate, change wall paper, floor plan, and where to place a terrarium for your beasts. We’ve seen some dark academia inspired rooms, lovely cottage core furniture, and some eclectic looking rooms that praise their house. Here are some of our favorite room of requirements designs.
1. Dark Vibes
You want a room that’s dark, cozy, and makes you feel as if you’re ready for a nap? In this room we focuses on low lighting instead of natural warm lighting in typical cottage core aesthetics. The room is fully functional with an operational moonstone, potion, and plant set up near the windows. We love how everything was placed and the furniture accents make the room feel majestic and powerful. Try changing your lighting if you’re wanting something different.
2. Expansions
As you play the game you’ll be able to expand your room of requirements. This will unlock near terrarium spaces for your beasts and you’ll be able to have more room to place furniture. You’re basically living in a mansion in the castle where you go to school. This user focuses on using the space they have the right way. They use room dividers to separate the potion making stoves and plants. We honestly never thought about using dividers so it’s very clever.
3. Accents Accents Accents!
If you don’t have a lot of furniture at the beginning or you’re trying to use what you got, remember, you have plenty of options to choose from! Use colors to create stunning wallpaper designs. Use the different styles to play around with. If you like the Gothic look play with those and if you want a bit of Botanical use it! Don’t limit yourself to just one style when you can implement all of the styles at once. Play with the color palette too so you can create something magical.
4. Home, sweet home
There are lots of players out there who are using their space to create a potion making or plant making factory. They’re adding lots of useful tools to create potions and ingredients but they’re lacking a place for your character to unwind. This room is about serenity and getting away from the noise from outside. Try creating at least one area in the room where it feels like it’s your new home. Add book cases, place some chairs, add a dining table. There’s tons of furniture to play around with! Use more than just what’s necessary.
5. House Representation
Whether you’re a Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, or Gryffindor you should decorate your room accordingly. A lot of players are building their space to celebrate the house they were placed in. Some are using green accents and are hanging up banners celebrating that they’re part of something. Others are using furniture pieces to make it feel as if they’re in the common rooms. This user decided to use rugs, chairs, and couches to show that they are from the Ravenclaw house. We honestly have our room set up like this with green and black accents to represent we’re from Slytherin.
