A new feature that needs some ironing out.

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s long-awaited A Festival of Friendship content update is finally here, bringing with it some truly notable new improvements for the game. Players are now able to edit the look of the outside of their house, storage is better than ever, the Premium Shop is open, Moonstones are purchasable, and new friends have entered the valley; Mirabel and Olaf!

But even with all of this, there’s still more! one of the other cool updated features is an increase in Moonstones that players can find in the randomly generated Moonschests. But though this improvement was set to go live with the update, it appears that players are experiencing an issue. So, do not open your Moonchests in Disney Dreamlight Valley! At least, for now. Let’s explain!

PSA: Do Not Open Your Moonchests in Disney Dreamlight Valley

As part of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s A Festival of Friendship content update, players are supposed to start getting more Moonstones out of their Moonchests which can be randomly found all over the valley. The past amount given to players was 10 and has grown to an astounding 50 Moonstones per chest found.

It’s a great incentive, especially since Moonstones are becoming highly incentivized as a means of purchasing power in the Premium Shop. As well, they’re also becoming pretty monetized with various packs for players to purchase, ranging from a few real-world dollars to over $40 for the most expensive.

The reason why players should hold off on opening their Moonchests right now though is that there’s a new known issue where players are only getting the sub-par amount of 10 Moonstones when opening them. So, if you want to maximize your intake of Moonstones, your best bet is to just wait until Gameloft patches the issue, making it easier to rack up Moonstones to spend on the Star Path or in the Premium Shop.

If you want to follow the ongoing issues that Gameloft is working on, check out their official Trello board, as it highlights all of the things they’re doing to make Disney Dreamlight Valley the very best game that it can be for players.

So, the more ya know! Just be sure to keep an eye out on that Trello board for when there’s a fix for those Moonchests in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
