Your Only Move Is Hustle takes away the traditional blazing-fast speed of combat games and replaces it with a game that moves at the pace of chess. In this frame-by-frame fighting simulator, you need to outsmart your enemies with excellent choreography, instead of the usual quick reflexes. Similar to chess, when you play the multiplayer mode of this game you have a time limit on the amount of thinking time you have before making a move. Be careful, because your opponent will be searching for any mistakes in your fighting technique!
How Do You Play Your Only Move Is Hustle?
To play this game, you will first need to launch it and select whether you wish to play single or multiplayer mode. The game will begin paused, so don’t worry too much about being ambushed right away! You can select your first move in the game, and then press your spacebar to confirm that the move is what you wish to choose.
Change things like the arc of your jump, how you are moving, and others in order to confuse and trick your opponent into making as mistake. There is a handy preview figure which goes through the motions of your selected move before you confirm it, so that you can see how it looks. As soon as you and your opponent have selected a move, the fight will be simulated!
This will continue until one fighter is able to change their action and take advantage of a mistake in their opponent’s fighting form. If you are the one who can act, you will be able to consider a secondary approach, or continue with the current flow of the fight. If your enemy can move, you will only have a few options, all of which are defensive. These include changing the way you will be launched after a hit, or attempting to parry your adversary’s attack.
Lastly, keep a close eye on both Super Meters which can be found in the corner of your screen. Use your Super Meter when you can to gain a Super Level, which can be used towards a Super Move. Just make sure that you don’t miss your attack! You can recharge this Super Meter by hitting your opponent, making successful parries or moving towards your enemy.
