All Fiend Types in Chainsaw Man: Devil’s Heart

Like a Hybrid, but grosser.

In Chainsaw Man, a Fiend is a humanoid produced when a Devil assumes direct possession of a human corpse, usually as a defense mechanism. Depending on the Devil that did the possessing and the state of the body, some Fiends can be pretty friendly, but most of them are just as monstrous as the Devils that produced them. Here are all the Fiend types in Chainsaw Man: Devil’s Heart.

Fiends are the basic enemies you’ll encounter while working on quests in Chainsaw Man: Devil’s Heart. When you accept a Fiend-busting quest, you’ll be confronted by a randomly-selected gaggle of Fiends to kill with your weapons, contract abilities, or Hybrid abilities.

All Fiends are humanoid in shape, being based off the basic player model with a unique head or skin. Each Fiend only has one kind of attack they can use, some of which can be blocked or parried while others are unblockable. Once you’ve got their pattern established, Fiends aren’t too hard to take down, especially if you have contracts or Hybrid abilities backing you.

Here’s a list of the Fiends you may encounter on Fiend-killing quests and the moves they’ll use:

  • Beetle Fiend: telegraphs an attack, then grabs you and sucks your blood. Can be dodged, can’t be parried.
  • Mantis Shrimp Fiend: Lets loose rapid, powerful punches. Can be dodged or parried.
  • Ant Fiend: Jumps backward, then dashes forward in a tackle. Can be dodged or parried.
  • Cricket Fiend: Ragdolls, then attacks anyone who gets close with a knockback kick. Can be dodged, can’t be parried.
  • Imposter Fiend: Attacks with a tongue in its torso. Can be dodged, can’t be parried.
  • Noob Fiend: Has no attack abilities and won’t fight back.

Once you have a general sense of what Fiends are capable of (which isn’t much) and a good mastery of your movement and defensive abilities, you should be able to take on most Fiend-hunting quests given to you. After that, the next step up is Devils and PvP, so practice hard!
