Hogwarts Legacy is the latest addition to the world-class Harry Potter saga. However, the game that was released by Avalanche Software actually doesn’t have much to do with the heroic Boy Who Lived. Although it draws almost entirely from the Wizarding World created by J.K. Rowling, Hogwarts Legacy has introduced us to a whole host of new characters, locations, and other things that make this game so much fun to play. Add that to a completely original storyline filled with characters you’ll learn to love, this game merits a spot on the top of anyone’s wishlist!

Firstly, how could anyone create a list of the most endearing characters in this magical game without mentioning Professor Fig? Starting off, the man has an extremely compelling and emotion-filled backstory. He is the protagonist’s mentor in the game and even sticks by his side up until the final battle.

Victor Rookwood

The leader of the Dark Wizards in this game, Rookwood is the ancestor of a Death Eater in the time of Harry Potter and He Who Must Not Be Named. A pureblood with contempt for all those he considers his inferior, the man is obsessed with his goals. Ultimately Victor is a powerful enemy and certainly a compelling character in Hogwarts Legacy.

Sebastian Sallow

Sebastian is one of those characters who you grow to love perhaps even more than the main protagonist throughout the course of a story. Having to live for so long with his sister’s suffering (she was cursed), Sebastian is desperate to find a cure. You will undertake some quests alongside the Slytherin student in his search for a fix to her condition.

Professor Weasley

An ancestor of the Weasleys in Harry Potter’s age, she is a wise and compassionate teacher who helps the protagonist navigate Hogwarts and some of the perils in the game. She is an eloquent speaker and a kind soul at heart, perfectly embodying the values of Hogwarts.

Ranrok the Goblin

The second (but equal) main protagonist in this series, Ranrok is a Goblin who is obsessed with an ancient magic. He is looking to destroy the Wizarding World as we all know it, and has allied himself in a tenuous relationship with the Dark Wizards led by Rookwood. He is a confident foe who is not above anything in the pursuit of his mission.
