You will find that Hogwarts is a very large place to explore, so from time to time, you might get a little lost. In fact, several players have reported that they are unable to leave the castle for this exact same reason. Finding a room in specific? Well, that’s even harder. But not if you look for the signs and the specific structures of the castle. With practice, you will be able to read the castle’s layout, or just use the Floo Flames. Anyway, a very common destination, no pun intended, is heading back to your House Common Room. Stop getting lost, continue reading to know how to find all the House Common Rooms in Hogwarts Legacy.
How to Find All the House Common Rooms
If you want to go back to your House Common Room, you will want to have some help at the beginning of the game to help locate yourself. Thankfully, all four Common Rooms are relatively close to each other, so you won’t have much problem being. Depending on the house of your choice, feel free to follow the bullets below to travel all the way to your corresponding Common Room:
House Common Rooms Locations
- Gryffindor House Location: the Gryffindor House is located in the Faculty Tower of Hogwarts, exactly at the third floor of the Grand Staircase. You will see a hallway with a One-Eyed Witch statue. Continue forward through this hallway until you arrive at the Faculty Room. You will see a winding staircase that will lead the players to the Gryffindor Common Room. If you are a fan of the movies, you will see the Fat Lady portrait here, indicating the entrance to the Common Room.
- Slytherin House Location: you will be able to find the Slytherin House in a literal dungeon. Just go to the bottom of the Staircase and head through the large door you encounter there. Take a right and you should see some stairs going down. Head down the stairs, and you will arrive at a dark room with a snake depicted on the floor, which will curl up in front of a wall. That is, in fact, the entrance to the Slytherin Common Room, only accessible to Slytherins.
- Hufflepuff House Location: the Hufflepuff house is located near the kitchen, on the second level counting from the bottom, which is the floor where you find the main entrance to the Grand Staircase. You will see an arch with some plant hanging from the ceiling. Follow this direction to go down a spiral staircase. You will see tree branches wrapping the staircase. When you arrive at the bottom, you will be in a cellar. Look for a giant barrel, which is the entrance to the Common Room.
- Ravenclaw House Location: you will need to travel to the fourth floor of the Grand Staircase. You will see a door leading to a blue colored hallway. Continue this path until you arrive at a green room. Head up the spiral staircase, and you will find a wood-paneled room and the Ravenclaw Common Room. How do you identify the door? Well, it has a huge Raven on it, so that’s that.

Can You Enter All Common Rooms in Hogwarts Legacy
In case you were wondering, no, you don’t get to access the Common Rooms of the other three Houses left. You do get to see their entrances, though, so that could make up the difference, right? Well, anyway, I hope you don’t get lost forever in Hogwarts. Just head back to the Grand Staircase and go and rest safely in your Common Room. If there is something I have learned from the franchise, it is that, even for a school, this castle has too many deadly creatures lurking around, so don’t go sneaking around. Good luck sneaking around!
