How to Move Furniture in Hogwarts Legacy

Pivot! Pivot!

I love purchasing furniture (in spite of doing it just once in my lifetime), but what I don’t enjoy is moving it. I mean, I get it, it must be in the perfect place. But what happens if the perfect place is located in the second floor and there is no one that will be able to help me and hear my “pivot” Friends reference? If only I was a wizard and magic could make things easier. Speaking of that, here is how to move furniture in Hogwarts Legacy. Smooth transitions are my forte, right? No? Ok.

Hold off your wands and your Wingardium Leviosa! If you thought you could just lift things with this spell, you would probably be right. However, not in the world of Hogwarts Legacy. Apparently the developers really like to keep things from going chaotic, at least when the castle’s furniture and order is involved. In fact, the ability to move furniture is only available in the Room of Requirements and the Viviarium found inside. Well, that’s kind of disappointing, but let’s work with it.

In the Room of Requirement, you will be able to conjure certain objects that you will be able to use, such as Potion Stations or Breeding Pens. You will have to collect Moonstones in order for the Conjurations to work, but once you do, you will be able to place these pieces of furniture in the Room. Once you have conjured said piece of furniture, you can move it by casting the Altering spell, which you will learn once you discover the Room of Requirement. With this last spell, you will be able to rotate objects, move them around, and even change their size.

And there you go! Your furniture moving skills might be limited to the Room of Requirement, but you will be able to move then and transform to whichever way you like. That is some liberty you won’t get at home or school. I cannot move the bed a single inch without being asked to put it back in place, so enjoy your freedom while you can! Good luck!
