How Transmog System Works in Hogwarts Legacy

What happens when you get the best gear set available in the game and, well, it just does not look as good as the other, less powerful gear sets found 20 hours before? Should you hinder your experience by selecting a gear set that won’t fit your character, or should you hinder your performance, by picking a significantly less powerful set? Well, developers have thought about this issue, and that is where Transmog Systems enter the equation. To be very simple, to Transmog an item is to change its appearance, while keeping its stats and boosts. It is a mere aesthetic change. Awesome, right? Well, Hogwarts Legacy has included this option in the game. Here is how the Transmog System works in Hogwarts Legacy.

How Transmog System Works in Hogwarts Legacy

Now that you know what a Transmog System is, you will be pleased to know that Hogwarts Legacy has a very unrestricted version of this mechanic. While other games will make this feature limited or unavailable, you will be able to use it freely in your adventure throughout Hogwarts. You will need to unlock the Field Guide, which unlocks after the Prologue, so it is basically always available for you. Once you have unlocked it, open it and head to the Gear menu. Equip the item you wish to transmog. Click or press to select “Change Appearance” and you will bring up the Transmog system. Select the appearance you want to apply to your currently equipped item, and you tap “Change Appearance” once again. After that, you will have your item with changed appearance, with the same stats and boosts that it used to have.

Not only will you be able to change your appearance freely, but all the items appearances will remain as a choice to pick, even if you have sold or gotten rid of the selected item. That is a huge feature, since you won’t have to worry about losing any Transmog options once you get rid of useless equipment. The level of customization is just beyond imaginable! Enjoy!
