How to Unlock all Tactical Gadgets in Hunt: Showdown

Flash Bomb and Bomb Lance = Wombo Combo!

Hunt: Showdown’s customization options when it comes to kitting out your Hunters in the best way to bounty and survive is a lot to consider. Below here are namely three very helpful but extremely situational consumable items that can affect both PVE and PVP encounters. Here is what they all are, what their best usages are, and how you can unlock all of them.

The Concertina Trip Mine

This tactical gadget is to be placed in areas with small open spaces. These would be anything such as doors, windows and holes in walls to trigger, trap and damage their foes. These can also be planted besides Explosive Barrels to instantly take down other Hunters upon running past it. They come in a pack of two and becomes readily available to purchase at a set price of 90 Hunt dollars and is unlocked at Rank 40.

The Concertina Bomb

Imagine exactly what you have imagined in your head, and that’s the Concertina Bomb – a throwable version of the Concertina Trip Mine that is spring-loaded. It does a substantially meaner hit rate compared to the Concertina Trip Mine’s meagre 10 damage rather than the Concertina Bomb’s 200.

With an effective range that can be further manipulated to make it even more of a threat by equipping your Hunter with the Pitcher Trait to throw it even further, The Concertina Bomb is a must-have consumable item to go into battle with to keep defeated Hunters down for the count. If an enemy was to attempt to use Necromancer or physically resurrect them, the Concertina will have to be taken down to safely bring them back into the fight.

Upon unlocking it by completing the objective “Use any ‘Tactical Gadgets’ Item 15 Times” as found in the Book of Weapons lore book, it will cost 48 Hunt Dollars to equip it to your Hunters. To complete this challenge, simply use The Concertina Trip Mine a total of 15 times to unlock it. You must have reached level 40 to have this objective becomes available to you.

The Flash Bomb

The Flash Bomb is to be used to blind enemies for a few seconds to create an opening for a follow-up attack. This can be from various distances that can be further manipulated to your benefit with the Pitcher trait to prevent the flash from also affecting yourself and if you have a long-range weapon. The price for getting one unless it comes with a default Hunter is 47 Hunt dollars. Once again, this can only be unlocked through the completion of the Book of Weapons’ “Use any ‘Tactical Gadgets’ Item 15 Times” objective.
