SpongeBob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake Voice Actors

"Good one, Patrick."

Since the show first began in 1999, SpongeBob Squarepants has had the same cast of talented voice actors portraying its characters in every single episode. Those voices are a major part of what makes SpongeBob such an iconic franchise, which is why their inclusion bolsters any SpongeBob-adjacent productions. Case in point, here are all the voice actors for SpongeBob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake.

SpongeBob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake Voice Actors

SpongeBob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake features the entire original voice cast from the show, all reprising their classic roles. Actually, does it count as “reprising” if the show’s still going…? Well, anyway, this is the first time the cast has been together for a SpongeBob video game, as previous SpongeBob games like Battle for Bikini Bottom had to make some substitutions.

Tom Kenny as SpongeBob Squarepants

The squeaky voice that launched an empire over 20 years ago, Tom Kenny has naturally returned to voice our protagonist, SpongeBob. Considering it’s been so long since Kenny took up the mantle of the spongy yellow fellow, his performance has changed here and there with the passage of time. His performance of SpongeBob in this game may sound a bit different than you’re used to if you watched the show as a kid, but don’t worry, it’s still him. He also still does the voice of Gary, if you were wondering.

Bill Fagerbakke as Patrick Star

SpongeBob’s best friend and the starfish who seems to become more dimwitted every season, Patrick Star is voiced as always by Bill Fagerbakke. While Patrick isn’t playable in this game like he was in Battle for Bikini Bottom, he’s always by SpongeBob’s side as the floating Balloon Patrick, so you’ll still be seeing and hearing plenty of him throughout the game.

Rodger Bumpass as Squidward Tentacles

The perpetually exasperated cephalopod with an affinity (if not talent) for the clarinet, Squidward is voiced as always by Rodger Bumpass. Fun fact, as production for the show has gone on, the other members of the cast have said that Bumpass becomes more Squidward-like. Bumpass doesn’t see it himself, not seeing himself as a particularly grouchy person, but either way, his sour delivery never fails.

Clancy Brown as Mr. Krabs

Owner of the Krusty Krab restaurant, SpongeBob’s boss, and quite possibly the greediest creature on Earth, Mr. Krabs is voiced, thankfully, by Clancy Brown. Brown was notably absent during the creation of Battle for Bikini Bottom, as he was preoccupied with other voice acting projects at the time. He’s fully on board for Cosmic Shake, though, nautical pun unintended, and bringing his delightful pirate mannerisms with him.

Carolyn Lawrence as Sandy Cheeks

SpongeBob’s other best friend, a sea-dwelling squirrel with a mind for science and muscles for karate, Sandy Cheeks is voiced as always by Carolyn Lawrence. Sandy unfortunately isn’t playable in this game like she was in Battle for Bikini Bottom, but she’ll still be showing up here and there, particularly in instances where there’s karate chopping to be had.

Mr. Lawrence as Plankton

A tiny evil genius and Mr. Krabb’s business rival, Plankton is played as always by Douglas Lawrence Osowski, better known by his stage name of Mr. Lawrence. Plankton functions as more of a questgiver than an antagonist in this game, as his “pet,” Spot, has managed to get himself lost all over the multiverse. He’ll still show up to deliver a scathing remark here and there, though.

Whether you’re a longtime SpongeBob fan or a youngin’ who never knew a time without him, The Cosmic Shake is packed full of faces familiar and new to ensure your nautical nonsense is as nonsensical as possible.
