One of the fun things about games like Fire Emblem Engage is min-maxing characters into class roles you may not have expected them to thrive in. Anna, for instance, is a spunky merchant who swings an axe around, but you know where she can do her best work? As a Sage. Here’s how to make Anna a Sage in Fire Emblem Engage.
How to Make Anna a Sage in Fire Emblem Engage
Anna has one of the highest growth potentials for her Magic stat out of every possible unit in Fire Emblem Engage. Naturally, armed with the kind of spells that come with the Advanced Sage class, she could raze the Earth with terrifying magic in your name. It’s a good time for sure, but if you want to make that happen, you’re going to need to jump through a few hoops.

The first step in this process is getting Anna up to level 10. This may be a bit easier said than done, as her base skills aren’t super strong or accurate. It may be in her best interest to pair her up with emblem Micaiah and have her heal from the back lines. That way, she can get a cut of the EXP without getting herself killed, and it’ll also prove beneficial for this process later.
Powering Up Anna
Once Anna is level 10, the next order of business is getting a Master Seal and promoting her to an Advanced class. A couple of free Master Seals will show up in Chapters 11 and 13, but worst-case scenario, you can buy them from the shop starting in Chapter 17. As for which class you promote her to, honestly, it’s not important. Throw a dart.
Next, Anna needs to have a level 10 bond with emblem Micaiah. This is where having her heal at the back comes in handy, as you’ll get them acquainted with each other more quickly. If you didn’t go that route, you can also just pay 2,000 Bond Fragments to level up their bond manually.
Once that bond is leveled up, Anna will have the stat bonuses necessary to qualify for the Sage class. At that point, just get a Second Seal, and switch her over to Sage. Congrats, you have a superpowered magic user at your disposal.
Remember, different bonds provide different stat bonuses, so if you’re trying to get a different character into a class outside their wheelhouse, you can use this general method to make it happen.
