When it comes to the recently released Bio Prototype, learning from your mistakes is key. Not only that but learning about your Prototype through research is also going to go a long way. That can be easier said than done though, as Bio Prototype isn’t the easiest game out there.
Because it’s a rogue-lite, you can bet your bottom dollar that you’ll be in for a fight of epic proportions, so you may need some help. That’s where we can in. We’ve got a concise beginner’s guide to Bio Prototype so that you can learn the tips and tricks you need to stay alive!
Bio Prototype Beginner’s Guide – Tips and Tricks
If you’re a new player to Bio Prototype, the main thing to know is that through failure, your research will thrive. Research is basically your run, and as you play, you’ll want to pick up the Cells of fallen enemies in order to evolve your current Prototype. As you evolve and extinguish waves of enemies, you’ll be given the opportunity to equip various Organs.

Organs
You’ll come across dozens of Organs as you play, keeping research of them even after you die. When it comes to implementing these Organs, it’s best to implant ones with a circle symbol before a diamond symbol, as the diamonds work through the circles. You should also make sure your favorite Organs are closest to the brain, as Organs will degrade over time, the further they are from it.
It’s best to really look into the Organs you’re trying to equip, as each has its own stats like attacks or even passive buffs or abilities. Each has a detailed description so that you know its strengths, as well as the other Organs that it’s compatible with. Having Organs that are compatible with each other can make your Prototype even stronger than if they weren’t.
Combat
As far as things like combat go, it’s best to really try out as many Organs as you can in order to get a feel for the game. Luckily, you don’t have to manually aim your weapons to shoot, because the game does that for you, so all you have on your plate is the duty of being the one to keep your Prototype away from the enemy organisms.
Try, Try, Try Again
There are tons of enemies to learn about, Organs to research, and various combinations of how to make your Prototype the absolute best that it can be. The best tip to give is to simply play into the game’s premise and experiment with everything you can, as that’s how you’ll really feel progression in the gameplay and how you can go from zero to hero.
