With every Pokémon installment comes the different versions to play on. Whilst this time round there are not many distinctions between Scarlet and Violet, it has a list of exclusive Pokémon. 48 exclusive Pokémon to be exact. We are used to seeing two versions of the same game being released, but its original reason behind it has long gone. It is very much possible to obtain all 48 exclusive Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet, regardless of which version you have. Whilst you can do this via Trading, this process is much longer than that of combining forces and version experiences together. This is our guide on how to obtain all exclusive Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet without Online Trading.
How to Get All 48 Exclusive Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet
Step One: Find a Friend to Join
This may be one of the hardest steps to execute if your friends do not own a Scarlet or Violet game. You need to find someone who owns the other version of the game. You can invite them into your game via the Union Circle. To access this, head over to any Pokémon Centre and interact with the yellow kiosk. This will ask you if you wish to Form a Group or Join a Group. By making a group, you will be given a code to give to your friend for them to join. Alternatively, if they make a group, you will have to input their code to join.
Step Two: Go to Wild Exclusive Pokémon Spots
After joining their game or having your friend join you, head over to the spots in which you find the version exclusive Pokémon. By joining a different version of Scarlet and Violet, you will bring over your version Pokémon into a complete form of the game. With both game version Pokémon being able to spawn in at once. Therefore, you can head to the usual spots where you find the exclusive Pokémon in Paldea. Scarlet players will spawn in their Scarlet exclusive Pokémon and Violet will spawn their exclusive Pokémon.
You can also hunt for the exclusive Paradox Pokémon in Area Zero with ease. Although, your friend will not appear in Area Zero as you roam around, you can go to the areas in which the Paradox Pokémon exist and you will see the other version exclusive Pokémon here. To help you even further, pop a Pokémon-Type Sandwich before you go in to target a specific exclusive Paradox Pokémon. Such as eating a Fairy Sandwich to find a Iron Valiant.

Best Shiny Hunting Tips
You can also Shiny Hunt in the shared instance of both versions playing simultaneously by joining your friend’s server. When this happens, the best methods to Shiny Hunt together is by using the Town and Picnic respawn methods. Not only this but, if you eat a Shiny Sandwich, its Meal Powers will work for both parties. Saving you the trouble of making multiple sandwiches.
To successfully reset the spawns through the Town Method, head to a Town/City. Upon entering and exiting you will see a pop-up declaring which area you have entered. This invisible line resets the nearby spawns of the Pokémon. You can use this when trying to find exclusive Pokémon such as Scarlet exclusive Stonjourner by resetting the Asado Desert via Cascarrafa. Or Violet exclusive Eiscue in North Province (Area One) Beach and the North Paldean Sea.
Alternatively, you can use the Picnic reset method to locate Shiny Pokémon. Firstly, defeat a minimum of 60 wild Pokémon in the area to increase the odds of the Shiny Pokémon spawning in. Next, place down a Picnic and close it. This will remove the spawns around you and replace them with a different set of Pokémon. Repeat until the Shiny Pokémon appears.
