9 Best Accessories in River City Girls 2

A little bauble pulls the outfit together.

Someone told me once that all you need to pull a bland outfit together is the right accessory. A bauble there, a distinctive pair of socks there, and the whole thing instantly comes together. I don’t know if I believe that, but if equipping accessories gave you enhanced combat abilities as they do in River City Girls 2, I’d be more willing to try it out. Here are the best accessories in River City Girls 2.

9 Best Accessories in River City Girls 2

River City Girls 2, much like the first game, features a myriad of different accessories for you to obtain. Most of them are purchased from designated accessory stores around the city (denoted by a shirt symbol on your map), while others are automatically given to you as rewards for clearing certain missions. Unlike your regular inventory, your accessory inventory is infinite, so don’t hesitate to grab every single accessory you can.

Of course, there are some accessories that are more overtly useful than others, enhancing your combat abilities, improving your healing and support capabilities, and just generally making your crusade against the yakuza a bit more pleasant. The accessories we recommend are:

  • Gamer Guide
  • Speed Runners
  • Frost Sigil
  • Music Player
  • Tuna Shirt
  • Wool Socks
  • Coin Purse
  • Ribbon Bra
  • Bunny Button and Tank Button

Gamer Guide

It’s a general rule of any game that utilizes an experience mechanic that items that boost your experience are desirable. Ergo, the Gamer Guide. When equipped, you’ll occasionally receive bonus experience upon defeating any enemy. It’s not a huge boost, but more levels means better stats and more moves, so it’s good for early game.

Speed Runners

River City Girls 2 is a deceptively large game, and if you get into the side content, there’s going to be a lot of backtracking. While your Agility stat improves your running speed a bit, the Speed Runners will improve it a lot more. With these fresh kicks equipped, you’ll be able to outrun any yakuza thugs anywhere.

Frost Sigil

This is a circumstantial recommendation, ideal for those playing the game cooperatively. When one of your teammates gets knocked out, you can revive them by mashing a button over their body. This is a very time-consuming process, though, so equip the Frost Sigil to speed things up a bit. As an added bonus, it also makes it easier for your teammates to get you up if you bite it.

Music Player

It’s a good policy to stock up on healing items whenever you get the opportunity in River City Girls 2. However, whether due to availability or money, you might not be able to get the strongest heals possible. The Music Player increases the amount of Stamina restored by healing items, making up the difference (and saving you some cash).

Tuna Shirt

This one’s for the completionists out there. There are 20 lost cats scattered around River City you can find as part of a side mission. If you equip the Tuna Shirt, you’ll get an attack boost for every single cat you rescue, culminating in a major boost if you find all 20.

Wool Socks

Wool socks make my feet a bit more static-y than I like, but you can use this to your advantage! With the Wool Socks equipped, your heavy attacks have a chance to inflict a shock effect on enemies. Shocked enemies are suspended in the air for a moment, allowing you to start a fresh combo on them with no downtime.

Coin Purse

Money, money, money, it makes the world go ’round. While you’ll get a good amount of money from taking down thugs, beating bosses, and clearing missions, you could always do with more. The Coin Purse increases the money you get from stomping baddies, allowing you to buy more stuff. Like accessories!

Ribbon Bra

Another circumstantial recommendation, this time for newer players that may be having trouble adjusting to the game’s difficulty. With the Ribbon Bra equipped, you’ll automatically receive a defensive shield when your health is critically low. This helps you get back on your feet in a dire situation.

Bunny Button and Tank Button

Arguably the best accessories in the entire game, which is why you can only get them from a secret store for a massive price tag. These two items aren’t that helpful on their own, but when used together, they provide a ridiculous buff to both your strength and speed.

Remember, you can equip up to two accessories at once, and swap them out whenever from your pause menu. Try to mix and match different combinations and see what works for you!
