How to Customize in PROJECT: PLAYTIME

As PROJECT: PLAYTIME is a free-to-play Multiplayer Horror experience, players can expect to find many micro transactions in store. These include the typical purchasing of skins. In order to buy these skins however, players must buy Play Coins. 500 Play Coins cost $4.99 and 5,600 costs $49.99. These can be used directly in the Store. The PLAYTIME Store is on constant rotation with a current inventory of:

  • Huggy Face
  • Huggy Hat
  • Silver Mommy
  • Silver Pack
  • Bunzo Silverware Hand

These are cosmetic pieces that you can add to your Specialist character appearance. There is another form of in-game currency which are the Toy Tickets. These are gathered through completing in-game challenges and are used for the Sabotages and Perks of the Monsters and Specialists. To customize all characters, head to the ‘Customize‘ option on the main menu screen. This will bring up all of the characters which you can customize. Here you can also upgrade your characters abilities. You will want to upgrade everyone as you play as you will not always play as the Specialists in the Game Modes.

The Toybox Pass can also be purchased which gives players Skins, Emotes and Appearance Items. There are currently 76 days remaining in the first Pass where players can obtain an Epic Huggy Wuggy Skin called the ‘Kissy Missy’. This is the pink counterpart to Huggy Wuggy which we briefly encountered in Poppy Playtime.

Customize Appearance: Specialists

In the Customizing Screen, you can shift through which character you wish to customize. Starting with Specialists, in the customization screen these are called the Survivors. To switch to the Monsters, simply click on the directional arrow on the side of the screen. The customization option for the Specialists are:

  • Skins
  • Headwear
  • Left Hand (GrabPack)
  • Right Hand (GrabPack)
  • Shirts
  • GrabPack
  • Pants
  • Footwear
  • Face

Upon the initial release, players can customize the Skins and GrabPack hands with basic options. These are simple options focussing on which colorway you would like to wear.

Customize Appearance: Monsters

To customize Monsters in PROJECT: PLAYTIME, you can find this on the same screen as customizing the Specialists/Survivors. The customization options are much more limited than the Specialists. With only the option to customize the Monsters skin. This makes sense however as the more customization you have with these Monsters, the less horrifying they will be in the game. With the fine line between horror and comedy, having a wide range of customization options will ruin the immersion and feeling of fear.
