Ever since The Legend of Zelda cooked up the Lost Woods, it’s become kind of a right of passage for retro-styled games to have a bit where you need to navigate some weird place with shifting paths. It’s a rule, there always have to be spooky woods that are easy to get lost in. River City Girls 2 respects this tradition with such a setting of its own. Here’s how to get through Witchy Woods in River City Girls 2.

How to Get Through Witchy Woods in River City Girls 2

After you rescue Marian from her hypnotic curse in Uptown, she asks you to visit the cemetery in the Flatirons to find the spooky person who messed with her head. To get to the cemetery, though, you’ll first need to navigate the Witchy Woods, a mysterious locale where you can get easily turned around if you don’t know where you’re going.

Every scene of the Witchy Woods has several exits, but only one of them will actually progress you further through the area and toward the exit, while the others will dump you in another, random spot.

Witchy Woods Path

Here’s the step-by-step for navigating the Witchy Woods and reaching the exit:

1. Starting from the Witchy Woods Entrance, run all the way to the right and take the exit right next to the green sign.
2. Run across the log bridge and take the exit on your right.
3. Jump up the steps on the right side of the scene, then run over to the exit on the upper-left side.
4. Run through the mud to the exit on the lower left of the scene.
5. Run to the left side of the river, then drop down off the ledge to reach the lower level. Don’t try to drop off on the right side, or you’ll fall into a very sarcastic pit. Once you’re on the lower level, take the bottom-right exit.

Congratulations, you’ve reached the Witchy Woods Exit! You can proceed onwards to the cemetery through the Dilapidated Cabin a little further up the way. Incidentally, on the fourth scene of that step-by-step, you can go up the vines and take the exit there to find a challenge where you can get a nice XP and cash payout, as well as a shop that sells status effect potions.
