Best Pokemon Items to Increase Accuracy in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

No whiffing allowed.

There are few things as irritating as being in the climax of a lengthy Pokemon battle with an opponent on the ropes, only for the whole thing to fall apart because your Pokemon missed their move. It’s such a small detail, but a single whiff can turn an entire battle on its head. To ensure that doesn’t happen, you’ll want to make use of certain items to enhance your Pokemon’s accuracy. Here are the best Pokemon items to increase accuracy in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

For influencing your Pokemon’s stats in a battle, there are a handful of different items you can employ, which fall into the broad categories of usable items and held items. Usable items can only be used one time before being consumed, while held items are held by a Pokemon and work indefinitely.

For the sake of improving a Pokemon’s accuracy and preventing move misses, these are the items you can use:

  • X Accuracy
  • Micle Berry
  • Wide Lens
  • Zoom Lens

X Accuracy

I bet you forgot about all those battle items you have saved up. It’s okay, they don’t see much use, but if you’re in a situation where your Pokemon keeps missing, there’s no better time to pop the cork on them. An X Accuracy can be purchased from the PokeMart and used from the items menu in a battle the same way you’d use a Potion, boosting a Pokemon’s accuracy by two stages for the entire duration of the battle. These are good if you need your Pokemon to hold something else but their Accuracy ends up drained by an opponent’s move.

Micle Berry

Another situational consumable, Micle Berries can be given to a Pokemon to hold onto. They don’t have a consistent spawn point, but you’ll sometimes find them in glowing spots on the ground. When the Pokemon is in a dire situation, it’ll automatically consume the Micle Berry to give it a one-time boost to its accuracy. Micle Berries are, for lack of a better word, insurance policies. A little something to ensure that that vital attack lands when it needs to.

Wide Lens

Purchased from the Delibird Presents in Levincia, this held item provides a one-stage boost to a Pokemon’s accuracy as long as they’re hanging onto it. It’s not a huge boost, but in a similar vein to the Micle Berry, it’s a nice little bit of insurance to guarantee your Pokemon’s moves find their target when they need to, albeit at a more consistent rate since it’s not consumable.

Zoom Lens

Also purchased from the Delibird Presents in Levincia, this alternate lens has a more specific ability for a particular subset of Pokemon. In the event that the Pokemon holding it takes their turn after their opponent, the Zoom Lens will make their moves more accurate than usual. This item is good for slow, tanky Pokemon that can endure some damage before making a move, and with its help, that move is more likely to be a successful one.

Remember, simpler moves with lower attack powers often have higher accuracies, while more powerful moves are less likely to hit. If you’re missing a lot of moves, try pivoting away from the super-strong stuff and try something a little more middle-of-the-road. It may not be as strong, but if your strong moves keep missing, it’s certainly preferable.
