Paradox Pokémon is the latest new feature exclusive to the mainline instalment of the franchise. These one-off Pokemon units make up only 14 across the game, 7 as Past Paradox, and the other 7 as Future Paradox. Where to find and how to evolve Sandy Shocks in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet – Map and All Locations
There are a few crucial pieces of criteria’s players should have covered before setting their sights on Sandy Shocks. The main one being that they have to have completed the mainline story first. The specific quest to keep in mind is defeating all 5 Titan bosses, which is one of the three major story events. Furthermore, Sandy Shocks is not only exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet, being completely unavailable to capture in Pokémon Violet, but it is also post-game exclusive.
Despite being so extremely exclusive in every definition of the word, Sandy Shocks can and does respawn. Simply leave the area if you do not see one as it will appear at some point. Where exactly is within the Great Crater of Paldea (Area Zero). Head towards the Research Station and select Research Station 1 or 2. Simply make your way towards any terrain that is rocky.
Our strategy for taking one down is to use the Pokémon Larvitar, Stonjourner and Phanpy against it, or any Pokémon that fall into their respective types. Players can also utilise the False Swipe TM depending on their difference in skill level against this post-game unit. This will stop Sandy Shocks from fainting, making capturing it with any kind of PokéBall valid.
