How to get Slowpoke Claws in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Wait, a new Pokemon game came out?

It’s kind of alarming how much Slowpokes apparently lose pieces of their bodies. It’s an established fact of the Pokemon setting that people like to eat Slowpoke tails, for instance. That’s weird enough, but now Slowpokes are apparently losing their claws all over the place. Oh well, one Pokemon’s trash and all that. Here’s how to get Slowpoke Claws in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Slowpoke Claws are a material item in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet used to craft TMs at a Pokemon Center’s TM Machine. Slowpoke Claws are dropped whenever you catch or defeat a wild Slowpoke or Slowbro, and you can also find them randomly in glowing spots on the ground near where Slowpokes hang out.

Finding Slowpokes

Given their partial Water typing and affinity for fishing, Slowpokes can be found near and in bodies of water. In fact, Slowpokes are one of the most common Pokemon you can find along Paldea’s various river shores. Any river, lake, or beach is a good place to look, though they’re especially prevalent along the shores of the East and South Province rivers, as well as the outer rim of Casseroya Lake.

Slowbros have a lower chance of spawning in the same spots as Slowpokes, usually surrounded by a pack of Slowpoke followers. Moreso than other spots, the best place to look for Slowbros is around Casseroya Lake. If you were wondering, yes, Slowking is in this game, but they do not appear in the wild.

Apparently, Slowpokes’ tails and claws all grow back surprisingly quickly, so I guess it’s not a big deal to help yourself to a few. It’s not like they’re quick-witted enough to notice they’re missing.
