What are Leaf Stones?

Leaf Stones are an item that can be used in Pokémon to evolve a specific set of Pokémon. Since Generation 1, these Evolution Stones have been around for players to use as a means of evolving. Some Pokémon, depending on the Type, have specific requirements and can only evolve with the corresponding Evolution Stone. Those playing Pokémon with the intention of completing the Paldea Pokédex need to locate these Stones to evolve some Pokémon. The Evolution Stones in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are:

Where to Find the Leaf Stone in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

The Leaf Stone is one of the hardest Evolution Stones to locate in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. However, players do have the ability to pick up a Leaf Stone in the Paldea city stores:

  • Mesagoza
  • Cascarrafa
  • Levincia

Costing 3,000 Pokemon dollars however, players may try their luck in the wilderness of Paldea. Exiting out of civilization and into nature, players should search the Tagtree Thicket, one of the Northern areas for a hidden Leaf Stone.

Leaf Stone Pokémon List

As of Scarlet and Violet’s intial release, the only Pokémon that can be evolved using the Shiny Stone is Eevee. This makes the process relatively simple. If you located the Leaf Stone in Tagtree Thicket, then all you need to do now is catch yourself an Eevee.

On another note, the Hisuian Pokémon Voltorb, seen in Pokémon Arceus may become part of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in the near future. If this becomes the case, then Hisuian Voltorb will be an addition member on the Leaf Stone Pokémon List. Voltorb normally evolves into Electrode by levelling this Pokémon up to Level 30, which is the case in Scarlet and Violet. But in Arceus, there is another form, the Hisuian, which when using the Leaf Stone on Voltorb will evolve into Hisuian Electrode. These Hisuian forms may return to the game as a transferable process of moving Pokémon from Arceus over to Scarlet and Violet.

Where to Find the Leaf Stone Pokémon: Eevee

Eevee appears to be the most compatible Pokémon with Evolution Stones. Having eight evolution lines with different requirements such as happiness value, players should catch multiple Eevee in their playthrough. Whether players are collecting Pokémon to complete the Paldea Pokédex or building a team around a specific Pokémon Type, Eevee evolutions are always a great addition to any team.

Eevee can be found in the Paldea provinces and areas:

  • Pokémon League route
  • West Province (Area Three)
  • South Province (Area Two)

As a Pokémon which is relatively easy to locate, players should be able to pick up an Eevee in no time. This Pokémon is obtainable early in the game, where players should stock up on Eevee before they begin the core parts of the Scarlet and Violet journey.

As the Pokédex states that Eevee is ‘rarely seen’, players should check the areas in the yellow spots of the Pokédex habitat display. Whilst checking, players should repeatedly check these areas by leaving and returning to increase the chances of seeing and obtaining Eevee.
