Act 2 Intro

The door requires a power supply to work. All you have to do here is head over to the right corridor which is blocked by fire through a burst pipe. Use your rewinding abilities with your trusty entropy device and rewind the valve to a time before the pipe burst. This will “extinguish” the flame as the flame now does not exist. Head to the end of this area to pick up the power supply.

Use the power supply on the hole in the wall and hit rewind. This will turn the power supply back on. Now with this door accessible, head through and continue the game. You will arrive at Puzzle 0201.

Puzzle 0201

Act 2 introduces a new puzzle mechanic, the Time Gate. You can pass through this gate with ease however, your boxes and other inanimate objects cannot. Therefore, you have to now figure out new ways by getting objects past this gate. This puzzle is simple as you just have to get the box on the entrance side to the other side of the gate.

  • Head through the gate and place the box on this side of the Time Gate switch to turn it off.
  • You can now pick up the box at the entrance and bring it through.
  • Put both boxes onto the two switches which control the accessibility of the door.

Puzzle 0202

For this puzzle there are 3 switches and 2 boxes. Here you need to take one box to the moving platform on the second floor. On the bottom floor you need to create a trail that has the box go on both switches. These operate the Time Gate and moving platform on the far side of the second floor.

  • The trail should start on the switch which controls the moving platform. Move the box to this switch and then over to the Time Gate switch beside the staircase.
  • Go up the stairs with the second box in hand and go through where the Time Gate would be.

  • Head over to the moving platform and sit the box down beside you.
  • From here, rewind the box on the ground floor until it is on the moving platform switch. You can now stop rewinding.

Now that you are at the top, pick up and place the box on the final switch. This will open the exit door.

Puzzle 0203

Similar to the previous puzzle, there is a total of 3 switches and 2 boxes. Once again, you will want to take one box with you throughout this puzzle and use the other to operate 2 switches that are on the ground floor.

  • Firstly, create a trail using one of the boxes to the left of the entrance. The trail should start at the switch which controls the door. From the entrance, this will be the switch on your left. Put the box on this switch and then drag it to the other switch (under the stairs). This controls the moving platform. Make sure that you drag the box away from this switch as the starting point of the rewind.
  • Go up the stairs with the other box in hand (the one without the trail). Step onto the platform with the box.
  • Rewind the ground floor box so it sits on the moving platform switch. Ride across to the other side.

  • From here, move off the platform and go onto the solid ground of the upper level (in front of the closed door).
  • Rewind the box again until it is on the door control switch.

With the ground floor box now on this switch, you can take the other box through the now open door with you. This can be placed on the only switch on this level and the last switch of the puzzle as this opens the exit door.

Puzzle 0204

The game introduces this puzzle as a tough one, claiming that other Operatives have not been able to solve this puzzle. Its intriguing to say the least and I was expecting something incomprehensible on the other side of the door. Instead, we are greeted by a moving platform with a switch on the end of it. Here you will need to test the full capabilities of the pause button during a rewind.

  • Firstly, place the box onto the moving platform.
  • Head over to the right side of the room and stand on the switch that turns the moving platform on.
  • Wait until the platform is directly above the switch.

  • Hit the rewind button but stop instantly. This will show the trail of where the box will go if you were to rewind the whole way. Basically, what you want to do here is hold it in a hovering position.
  • By doing this you can step off the switch so that the moving platform goes left, back to its starting position.
  • Now with the box hovering directly over the switch you can hit stop rewind. This will drop the box onto the switch. If you have rewound too much beforehand you will have to redo the previous steps.

This is what it should look like after you clicked rewind and stepped off the switch. With the box on the switch, the exit door will open, and this puzzle is complete.

Puzzle 0205

For me, this one was a bit of a headscratcher. Here you need to get both boxes over the Time Gate. There is only one switch to press on this side. So how do you do this? Whilst there may be simpler solutions, this is how I did it in my playthrough.

  • Take both boxes and place them on the switch. This will turn off the Gate. Both boxes need to start on the switch.

  • With both boxes on the switch, move one to the bottom of the staircase whilst the Gate is off. Then move it back to the switch. Repeat this with the other box. This will create 2 trails going back and forth across the Gate.

    • Now, standing on the switch yourself, rewind both boxes under they are at the bottom of the staircase past the Time Gate.
    • With both boxes there you can now go through the Gate. Be careful when you pick up each both as the Gate will be back on. If either box hits the Gate you will have to redo the process again.
    • Pick up each box and put it on the switches at the top of the stairs to open the exit door.
    • Go through the lift to finish Act 2.
