Earth beckons for help! Triangle Studios and Curve Digital’s newly released alien invasion title, From Space is here and serving up some serious alien-slaying fun. With a cartoony world that feels reminiscent of the 60s creature feature films, it’s a fun trip to be sure. The game pulls no punches by actually offering quite a bit of depth to it with different specialists to choose from, an armory of guns to choose from, and tons of secondary gear to equip, like explosives.
And while it’s great to have all of this alien hunting gear on you, there are still going to be some extremely formidable foes for you to face off with in From Space. The very first boss, the Brawler, is by far one of the game’s biggest fights earlier on. So you may be thinking, “how do you beat the Brawler in From Space?”. Well, let’s talk about it!
How to Beat the Brawler in From Space
You’ll encounter the Brawler towards the end of the mission that has you escorting Billy Bob in the Operation Downed Dragonfly quest line. You’ll know you’re about to meet him when you enter an area with a bunch of big power transformers that are sparking electricity between each other.
Once you make it past those and the onslaught of enemies within them, you’ll enter a big parking lot. This is where the Brawler will make its entrance. The Brawler is a large foe and one that holds a large melee weapon and a shield of sorts. It moves pretty slow so your best bet with a firearm is to get behind it by dashing.

Since this enemy is equipped for close contact battles, it’s best to keep a distance as he can smash the ground and send shockwaves that can damage you. Personally, I found the best way to dispose of him to be by hitting him with grenades and Molotov cocktails, and as I was playing as the specialist, Shadow Sniper, I would also use her claymores as well.
If you collect and save enough explosives over the course of this level up until this point, then you’ll be well-equipped to take it down pretty easily. If you manage to run out of ammo or have a puny gun equipped, there is an automatic rifle sitting in the security booth right behind where the Brawler spawns, which you should definitely use if you need it.
But that’s all you need to know about how to beat the Brawler in From Space! Be sure to check out some of our other coverage on the game as we continue to play!
