How to Solve Tower of Tendrils Puzzle in Scorn

The first 30 minutes or so of Ebb Software’s latest release, survival horror Scorn, there’s a lot to unpack. You’ve got a horrific alien hellscape, odd weapons, and a bunch of intricate puzzles that have to be solved. It can be quite a bit to handle, though you don’t have to go it alone. The last puzzle to solve in order to complete the first level, The Tower of Tendrils, is an odd one, though one that we can help explain. Let’s dive into it!

How to Solve Tower of Tendrils Puzzle in Scorn

The Tower of Tendrils puzzle comes into play shortly after opening the first door and grabbing your first weapon. You’ll want to head into the tower area through either the door on the right or left of the catwalk in that atrium you get your gun from. You’ll then want to follow the path until you find the large tower, tendrils and all.

You’ll see a terminal that can be accessed and allows you to control a drone. You’ll want to pull the drone towards you as there’s a battery that the drone will pick up in front of you. Next, you’ll need to take the battery to the open port on the tower using the drone. Following that, go to the terminal near the base of the tower and activate it. This will open shutters around the tower area.

Next, you’ll need to head to one of the terminals located near either of the doors you came from that access this hallway. Once you activcate it, floating enemies will hover over the path and spray a freezing mist. You’ll need to attack them with your gun and each goes down after a single hit.

Once you’ve made your way to the tower, a new battery will be awaiting you to place it. Again, you’ll want to activate the terminal at the base of the tower to open more shutters. You will need to repeat this process yet again on the opposite side. Lastly you’ll want to press the button on the terminal at the base of the tower for a last time to complete the puzzle entirely.
