How to Open the First Door in Scorn

Scorn is here and brings with it an eerie alien atmosphere that is sure to deliver players some uncomfortable moments as well as scares. Offering combat and puzzles, there’s a lot that players are going to do in this survival horror. Just getting started can be a difficult task as the opening moments of the game take place from behind a giant door. So if you’re trying to figure out how to open it up and get to the next area, let’s explain how to open the first door in Scorn!

How to Open the First Door in Scorn

Once you get your wits and begin to investigate the first area in Scorn, you’ll locate a small door that’s opened after you gain access to that weird alien gauntlet from the wall. You’ll then continue to the main atrium where the real puzzle comes into play. You’ll need to head to the left side of the atrium to an elevator lift. Once you’ve gotten the alien free, go back to the main atrium. You’ll then need to retrieve the alien from the arm holding it which can be found near the hallway you originally came from to this room. Just interact with the terminal ahead of it to do so.

Once you’ve got it on your cart, you’ll want to head up the structure in the middle of the room and activate the terminal that allows you to change the orientation of the tracks that your cart is pushed on. You’ll want the first two tracks to turn inward towards the structure, with the third one turned outward.

The hall that this track should be turned toward is the one that’s two away from the left of the gigantic first door. You’ll then push the cart with the alien to a checkpoint where you’ll need to activate a terminal to insert something into the alien.

After that, push the cart again and you’ll pass through two rooms until the cart finally makes its arrival at a room with two terminals. The first is used to move the alien to a device that will cut it free. The terminal next to it will be the one to do that job.

Once the alien is finally walking around, you’ll need to have it equipped with a gauntlet like yourself. There’s a small hall between that room and the door where you can do this. It’s to the right of the stairs.

After it’s equipped, head to the main atrium again where the door is located. the first terminal on the left is going to be for the alien and the one on the right is for you. Once you’ve both interacted with the terminals, the door will open and you’ll be able to leave that room.
