All Characters in Moonbreaker

Get out your paint kits and your brushes. It's time to take a look at all the intricate and detailed characters in Moonbreaker.

Any time players scour The Reaches for glory, they’ll need an expansive team of miniatures to select from. Moonbreaker accomplishes this by having a vast amount of characters (otherwise known as units in-game) for all different types of playstyles. Each unit has its place on one of the many moons and in the cultures harbored on these rotating space balls. Units are separated into three different types: captains, crew, and bosses. A roster will consist of 10 crew units and 1 captain. Due to bosses not having any playability outside of fighting against them in the PvE mode, this article will not be covering those units. Deploying units from the bridge, using unit skills, and replenishing units on the bridge from the reserve all use cinder. An in-game resource that the player collects at the start of every turn.

All Characters in Moonbreaker: Captain units

Captains are the proverbial king piece of the Moonbreaker chess board. Boasting the most unique and game-changing skills, eliminating the opposing team’s captain is all it takes to win. The main risk of a captain is knowing when to take a fight, and when to pull back before it is too late.

Astra – Methedori

From the moon of Methedor, even though Astra is only 12 years old she has proven to be a formidable foe on the battlefield. Storming the enemies with her companion creature and long-time friend Furg, Astra brings a plethora of abilities to help her friends and develop a plan. Both of her unit abilities can hand the player a much-needed reprieve from enemy attacks.

Extilior – Methedori

Extilior slices through their opponents with big damage and tanky abilities to boot. Originally meant to be a mindless exterminator of life called a ‘death bot’, Extilior has broken free from their shackles and gained sentience. Joining the Methedori and becoming a revered leader is just the tip of this metal-plated iceberg. Having the largest damage pool of any captains out the gate, Extiliors’ abilities can help mitigate damage all while dealing a good amount of damage back.

Zax Ja’kar – Smugglers

The loud-mouthed flashy Zax Ja’kar is the first smuggler captain. Hopping moon to moon doing whatever he can to swindle, steal, and shoot his way to the next job. He values his jobs so much that even death won’t stop him. Zaxs’ playstyle revolves around maneuverability. Coupled with his abilities that allow players to create space for their units, Zax Ja’kar brings a lot of early and late-game promise to a roster.

Unlike captains, crew units are foot soldiers that help provide the main presence on the map for a roster. Having 10 crew units per roster allows for synergies to be developed between the characters. Crew characters come equipped with a combination of unique abilities and/or one unit ability.
