Kiriko is Overwatch 2’s newest Support character. As a modern-day ninja, she’s skilled in the use of magic talismans and throwing kunai, while also knowing how to rock an excellent pair of sneakers. She’s already become a hit among the playerbase, who are eager to try her out in a competitive setting. So, when does Kiriko get added to Ranked in Overwatch 2?
When Does Kiriko Get Added to Ranked in Overwatch 2?
While Kiriko is available to play right now in Overwatch 2’s Unranked matchmaking, those looking to use her in Ranked competitive play will need to wait until December. Specifically, December 7th, 2022.

The first competitive season of Overwatch 2 is underway as of writing and will last until December 6th. Once that season ends and the next season begins, Kiriko will be added to the Ranked rotation. This buffer period gives the developer time to properly balance her skills against every other Hero with feedback from the Unranked players, which is absolutely vital for ensuring fair Ranked play.
Everyone Loves Ninjas
If you’ve already unlocked Kiriko, either by purchasing the Overwatch 2 Founder’s Pass or by reaching tier 55 in the season one Battle Pass, she’ll be available to you in Ranked once the new season arrives. It’s not currently known what unlock methods there will be for Kiriko once the season rolls over, but she will presumably be available in some other fashion when the time comes.
In the meantime, even if you can’t use her for Ranked, it is a great time to get a handle on Kiriko’s abilities in Unranked, where the pressure’s off. Get good at being a healer ninja now so you can be great when it really matters.
