At Summer Games Fest on Thursday, host Geoff Keighley premiered Flashback 2. This sequel to the 1992 cinematic platformer was formally announced in mid-2021, but now we have a release date and teaser. Flashback was initially released in 1992 by developer Delphine Software and publishers U.S. Gold and Sunsoft based on a design by Paul Cuisset.
“Developing a sequel to Flashback is an idea I’ve had for a very long time. I can’t wait for players to discover the new adventures of Conrad B. Hart, a character created almost 30 years ago. With Microids, we are really aiming to please the fans of the original title while being appealing to any players with a weak spot for futuristic games“ adds Paul Cuisset.
It might seem out of left field for a game initially released three decades ago to receive a sequel. But, the question remains: when can we get our hands on it?
