What Types of Weapons Are There in Code Vein?

There are five main weapon categories that determine how weapons function with Gifts and Blood Codes. Here are all the different types of weapons:

One-Handed Swords

One-handed swords are a balanced weapon with fast attacks and a short melee range. Weapons considered to be one handed swords are pipes, swords, and broadswords.

Two-Handed Swords

Two-handed swords have quite a long reach as opposed to one-handers, and they deal greater damage at a lower attack speed. Weapons considered two-handed swords are greatswords.

Two-Handed Hammers

Hammers are quite slow and heavy but they deal a ton of damage with a decent range. Weapons in this category include axes and hammers.

Bayonet Rifles

Bayonets are long range firearms with some versatility. You can either snipe someone or stab them, depending on your play style. Their damage is low compared to blades, so they are more effective at range.

Spears, Halberds, and Polearms

Spears, halberds, and polearms are long range two-handed weapons that deal superior AoE damage. Spinning around with one of these will destroy a group of enemies around you. Weapons in this category are spears, halberds, axes, polearms, and sickles.

Blood Codes

Blood Codes couple with your weapons, so you want to make sure you pick one that goes with your Blood Code to make combat more effective. You won’t want to be using a big halberd as a caster, for instance.
