The hammer and sickle are the long-standing symbols of the former Soviet Union, and are common iconography of communist countries. Apparently, they symbolize a marriage between agricultural pursuits (the sickle) and industrial pursuits (the hammer). They’re not really weapons, but if they’re all you have in Call of Duty: Warzone, then you can’t really be picky. Here’s how to get the Hammer and Sickle in Warzone.
The Hammer and Sickle are a single melee weapon recently added to both Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops: Cold War. For Warzone in particular, you can get the weapon by buying the Split Personality bundle from the in-game store for 1,800 points. If you’re short on points, though, you can also get one for free by accomplishing a certain in-game mission. The good news is that it’s not a very hard mission. The bad news is that it might take a little while.
How to get the Hammer and Sickle in Warzone
To get the Hammer and Sickle in Warzone
- Get a melee kill
- In the same life, get a throwing weapon kill
- Repeat this in 15 different matches
To unlock the Hammer and Sickle, you need to get both a melee kill and a throwing weapon kill (e.g. tomahawk or throwing knife) in the same life, then do that in fifteen different games. That’s all there is to it, relatively speaking; you just gotta kill someone with any melee weapon, then kill someone else with either a tomahawk or a throwing knife before you’re killed yourself. I do want to stress that you need to do this in fifteen different matches; you can’t just keep racking up melee and throwing weapon kills in one match, admittedly impressive as that would be.
Once you successfully clear the challenge, you can claim your Hammer and Sickle from the loadout menu. Give ‘em the ol’ hook and smash, it’s fun!
