Valorant devs tease new map with message ‘Welcome to Paradise’

Yesterday, Valorant’s official Twitter account revealed an upcoming look for players to enjoy. The tweet was posted alongside a message, “Welcome to Paradise.” The picture shows a sunny beach with what appears to be some sort of seaside bed, accompanied by tropical plants. Many regarded the picture as the reveal of a new map, but Riot Games has yet to reveal what this new ‘paradise’ truly is.

Adding a map to Valorant’s roster would be a very welcome update. Currently, the five maps in rotation are Icebox, Ascent, Bind, Haven, and Split. This is a perfect number for a best of five series, but adding more maps would allow teams to practice certain specializations and display the fruits of their labor. Valorant has been steadily increasing in popularity on Twitch and Youtube, and with this announcement, Riot aims to make the game akin to paradise itself.

Valorant’s “Welcome to Paradise” might be Foxtrot

Late last month, a popular Valorant data miner leaked some information about an upcoming map named Foxtrot. They uncovered some music in the game files. It is speculated that this is the loading music for an upcoming map. Considering the music’s tropical vibe, we’re beginning to get a bit more curious. It seems possible that this is the same map from the recent post from Valorant’s official Twitter.
