I’m no historian, but I do one thing about the Norse vikings of old: they were tough dudes with attitudes that were really good at swinging around large, pointy objects. And really, is there anything else you need to be in life? But of course, it’s not just a matter of swinging a pointy stick; you gotta be a conussiour of pointy sticks. Here’s the full list of weapons for Valheim.
Since Valheim is an old Norse setting, you’re obviously not gonna see anything like guns or crossbows. But that’s fine, as any viking worth his salt can work just fine with analog weaponry, and there quite a few categories to choose from. Seven categories, to be precise:
- Swords: Long, pointy, and well-rounded.
- Knives and Daggers: Shorter, but faster.
- Maces and Hammers: Slow, but hit like a freight train.
- Polearms and Spears: The longest possible melee weapon. Comes in throwing variants.
- Axes: Good for chopping heads and chopping trees.
- Shields: For blockin’ stuff.
- Bows and arrows: Your best choice for ranged combat.
