Best Shrine Rewards in Sifu

Best Shrine Rewards in Sifu

Here are the best shrine rewards in Sifu to pick

I’ve watched enough kung-fu movies to know that when you stumble onto a mystical thing with a dragon on it, it’s something you make a point of grabbing. Dragon stuff is always good, unless it’s a giant cursed statue like that one in Jackie Chan Adventures. But Sifu is not Jackie Chan Adventures, so you should always pick up the little dragon shrines when you see them. Here are the best shrine rewards in Sifu.

As you punch and kick your way through the various hideouts of Sifu, every now and then you’ll stumble across a small blue dragon shrine, usually on a table or shelf. Interacting with the shrine will allow you to pick one of nine special rewards that you can only receive from a shrine. This isn’t like the skill tree, which shows up when you die; you have to pick a reward here and now or you get nothing.

The rewards are divided into three categories based on what they require of you. The categories and the rewards within them are as follows:

  • Age: You have to be below a certain age to claim rewards in this category.
    • Structure Reserve: Increases the size of your Structure meter. Can only be claimed below age 60.
    • Health Gained on Takedowns: Every finisher yields greater healing. Can only be claimed below age 40.
    • Weapon Durability: Weapons can be used more times before breaking. Can only be claimed below age 25.
  • Score: You need to have reached a minimum score threshold to claim rewards in this category.
    • Structure Regain: Successfully avoiding attacks restores more of your Structure meter. Requires a minimum score of 800.
    • Focus Regain: Successfully avoiding or parrying attacks restores more of your Focus meter. Requires a minimum score of 1,200.
    • Parry Impact: Successfully parrying attacks drains more of an enemy’s Structure meter. Requires a minimum score of 5,000.
  • XP: The rewards in this category cost XP, same as the upgrades in your skill tree.
    • Focus Reserve: Adds an additional half Focus bar. Costs 250 XP.
    • Weapon Proficiency: Weapons deal more damage to enemies and drain more of their Structure bar. Costs 500 XP.
    • Death Counter: Resets your death counter to zero. Costs 1,000 XP.

Every reward has three ranks, so you can claim them more than once the next time you find a shrine. Just remember that claiming multiple ranks of one reward means missing out on the others.

Now, as for the actual question, let’s get into the best Shrine rewards based on the three categories, the ones you should consider grabbing first and foremost. For Age, the best reward is Health Gained on Takedowns. Obviously, you shouldn’t be making a habit of getting hit at all, but if you do, you can quickly restore any lost health by mopping up a few mooks.

For Score, the best reward is Parry Impact. Parrying is paramount to success in this game, so if you’re good at it, then it’s even better if it opens up enemies for takedowns faster.

For XP, the best reward is Focus Reserve. Many of the Focus moves you unlock through the skill tree require at least two Focus bars, but you only start with one, so picking this reward a couple of times is required to use any fancier techniques. It also costs the least XP, which is important because you need that stuff for your skill tree.
