For players wondering how to get the Legacy 40 Challenge Timed Research, you need to hit level 40. You have until the end of the year to get these Timed Research tasks and rewards. After hitting level 40, these Timed Research tasks should become available for you to start. One fun exclusive item is the Gyarados Hat, which is the ultimate reward for entirely completing the research. 

Pokemon GO Legacy 40 Challenge Timed Research and Rewards

Here’s a complete list of the Pokemon GO Legacy 40 Challenge Timed Research and Rewards:

Stage 1

  • Power up Pokemon ten times: Stardust x1000
  • Catch 15 Pokemon: Star Pieces x3
  • Make five Nice Throws: 1,000 XP
  • Rewards: 1,000 Stardust, Rufflet encounter, and 1,000 XP

Stage 2

  • Catch 15 different species of Pokemon: Stardust x1000
  • Transfer ten Pokemon: Unova Stone x1
  • Use 15 Pinap Berries while catching Pokemon: 1,000 XP
  • Rewards: Stardust x1000, Premium Battle Pass x3, and 1,000 XP

Stage 3

  • Make three Great Curveballs: Stardust x1000
  • Win three Raids: Sinnoh Stone x1
  • Give your buddy ten treats: 1,000 XP
  • Rewards: 1,000 Stardust, 3 Super Incubators, and 1,000 XP

Stage 4

  • Claim Reward: Stardust x5000, Deino encounter, 1,000 XP
  • Rewards: Stardust x5000, Archen encounter, and Gyarados Cap
