2K Sports has been releasing content for the last several weeks surrounding NBA 2K23. From all of the new features in The W down to the series of changes in MyTeam, there’s already a lot to be excited about with the upcoming release. Although, after much anticipation, player ratings have officially been announced, beginning with some of the best acrobats in the game.

- Ja Morant (97), PG – Memphis Grizzlies
- Zion Williamson (97), PF/C – New Orleans Pelicans
- Anthony Edwards (95), SG/SF – Minnesota Timberwolves
- Zach LaVine (95), SG/SF – Chicago Bulls
- Aaron Gordon (95), PF/SF – Denver Nuggets
Both Zion Williamson and Ja Morant were handed a 97 overall in dunking in NBA 2K23, and for good reason. Both are renowned for their elite athletic prowess and ability to put their opponent on a poster. Each of these two superstars can practically jump out of the gym, which has left both players and fans alike in awe for the last couple of years. As a result, it is not surprising at all to see Morant and Williamson at the top of the list.
On the other end of the spectrum, we have Anthony Edwards, who didn’t crack the top 10 in dunking last year but has since evolved into one of the greatest athletes in sports. Last season, the Timberwolves swingman had numerous highlights of him floating over and flushing it down on opposing players. So, he too is deserving of a top-five dunking rating in NBA 2K23.
Lastly, there’s Zach LaVine and Aaron Gordon. The former of which is a two-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion, having triumphed in both 2015 and 2016. While the latter controversially finished second in the 2016 Dunk Contest to LaVine, but is arguably the best dunker to never win the competition.
All in all, each of these five players is known for their incredible leaping ability, so, it’s no shock to see these as the top five dunkers in NBA 2K23.
