All things considered, these Madden NFL 23 cornerback ratings feel like such a mixed bag. It certainly makes sense to see Ramsey, Alexander, White, Slay and Ward at the top of the list. However, the fact that JC Jackson barely cracked the top ten despite finishing with a career-high 58 tackles, 23 passes defended and 8 interceptions last season is brutal. Or Trevon Diggs, who led the league in interceptions last season with 11, yet was met with a lowly 84 overall.

It’s also quite interesting that Sauce Gardner received a 78 overall. Obviously, he’s just a rookie and this still puts him amongst the elite in terms of rookie ratings. I just find it difficult to believe that he’s worse than players like Bradley Roby, Steven Nelson or Rasul Douglas, to name a few. On a much more positive note, it looks like very few franchises will struggle to put together a formidable cornerback duo. Since there are more than 40 players with an 80 overall or higher.
