Albion Online is an insanely popular MMORPG that’s completely free to play! This game’s popularity is definitely deserved; not only is it free, but it’s also packed with PvP, in-depth lore, and unique character classes! Everybody loves free MMORPGs, but a lot of them are, or end up becoming, pay-to-win. Albion Online may be a great game, but even it’s not immune to becoming just another forgotten, pay-to-win MMORPG. Is Albion Online a Pay-to-Win Game?

Although Albion Online does allow you to use real money to buy in-game items such as gear and in-game currency, it’s not required. Albion Online is not a pay-to-win game; it’s a completely free online game that can be succeeded at without having to resort to in-game purchases. Obviously, paying for in-game items can help speed up the process of progression (like with any game), but you definitely don’t need to dip into your savings to become an unstoppable force in this fantasy MMORPG.

You can use your hard-earned cash to buy in-game currency for this game if you want to, but no amount of gold or silver will ever make you unbeatable against other players in Albion Online.
