What are dream shards? We’re certain you’ve gotten rid of some thorns and have found some dream shards in your inventory. At first, you’re confused on what they’re used for, but once you’ve accessed the crafting table for the first time you finally realize this is what they’re used for. Dream shards are used to make dream light, simple right? Should you craft them to make dream light easier than doing tasks to earn them? One might assume they should, however we’re here to tell you, to hold off on converting dream shards to dream light. Dream shards will become available once you start destroying thorns, however, if you’ve destroyed all the thorns in the first part you won’t gain access to them until you progress farther into the valley.

Best way to use Dream shards in Disney Valley

Please do not make the same mistakes as us and convert your dream shards into dream light. It might seem tempting at the beginning, but it’s not worth it. It’s easy to get dream light by just farming, mining, or doing daily tasks with your Disney friends. We suggest you save all of your dream shards because eventually, Merlin will be asking you to complete a friendship quest. This quest requires you to have at least 10 dream shards available to give him. Obviously if you can’t give him the shards you can’t finish the quest. Another reason to save up your dream shards is because they can be great gifts to give your friends to raise their friendship level.

To make a long story shorts, save your shards. Don’t convert them. You’ll eventually learn which items are more important than others.
