How to Play Overwatch 2 at 120 FPS

No frame, no gain.

Frame rate has never been such a high important stat as it is today. I remember the days of playing Ocarina of Time at 24 fps and feeling it was the best experience ever. Now anything below 60 fps feels weird, slow, choppy, cheap. We are truly spoiled by the advance of technology. Anyway, before I continue with my tantrum, higher fps do provide several advantages such as reaction time, which is essential in competitive games. Overwatch 2 is not the exception. Therefore, today we’ll learn how to play Overwatch 2 at 120 fps.

How to Play Overwatch 2 at 120 FPS

So the obvious answer is the better the equipment, the better the performance. However, such a basic answer will get me into trouble, so we’re gonna talk about some requirements and tweaking you can make on the platform you’re playing Overwatch 2 in order to become a 120 fps club member.

I think it’s obvious, but the universal requirement for any platform is a monitor or TV that is able to run at 120 fps (120 Hz). Otherwise, we’re talking about having a Rolls-Royce without having the ability to drive it, or even open the door of the garage. Besides that, if you want to play in 4k resolutions, you’re going to need a 2.1 HDMI or a DisplayPort 1.4 in order to be able to transmit the information to your screen. Having said that, we’re going to take a look at each platform and see what we can do about those 120 fps munchies. Here is how to play Overwatch 2 at 120 fps in the platform of your choice.
