How to Open Lower Hogsfield Door Lock in Hogwarts Legacy

What is the best part of finding treasure chests? Well, opening them and enjoying the lot. What is the worst part of finding treasure chests? Finding out that you are unable to get to them thanks to a spell, ability, or story requirement not met. Frustrating, right? Well, today we will get to know how to open door locks in general, the Lower Hogsfield door lock in particular. All thanks to a very familiar spell. Here is how to open the Lower Hogsfield door lock in Hogwarts Legacy.

How to Open Lower Hogsfield Door Lock

In order to open the Lower Hogsfield door lock, you will have to complete the main quest called The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament. You will encounter Gladwin Moon, who is the caretaker at Hogwarts. He will task you to remove the moons from the Demiguise Statues (also unlocking the search for the Demiguise Statues across the game). After he talks about these statues, you will have to follow Gladwin, and then he will teach you the Alohomora spell. If you don’t know, this is the spell known as the Unlocking Charm, which will be able to unlock doors and locks.

Once you have Alohomora as an available spell, go ahead and head to Lower Hogsfield, located south of Hogwarts. Find the locked house with the help of the Revelio spell, which will reveal the lock. Then, interact with the lock to use Alohomora to unlock the door. You will need to align the red and green lights withing the gears, which will successfully open the door. Once inside the house, you will be greeted with several treasure chests, with a decent amount of loot.

Learning the Alohomora spell allows you to collect and loot countless chests and caches that were previously locked. Furthermore, you will be able to unveil hidden or locked Demiguise Statues as well as Daedalian keys, which will unlock very valuable items that will boost your game experience.
