How to get Sunken Armor in Arcane Odyssey

Who knew soggy armor was so strong?

I knew this kid once who fished up an old Tupperware bowl from a stream, which he wore on his head for most of that summer. That bowl was gross, but by gum, he didn’t get hurt at all for the rest of the season. Turns out waterlogged garbage makes excellent armor! If you doubt my claim, there here’s how to get Sunken Armor in Arcane Odyssey.

How to get Sunken Armor in Arcane Odyssey

The Sunken Armor is an armor set in Arcane Odyssey that, as the name likely implies, can be found at the bottom of a body of water. This armor set is made up of three components:

  • Sunken Iron Armor
  • Sunken Iron Boots
  • Sunken Iron Helmet

Despite their grody, rusted appearances and the fact they’re probably full of algae or something, the Sunken Armor set pieces are actually some of the best defensive options in the entire game. The Sunken Iron Armor and Sunken Iron Boots provide the highest defense and magic size buffs out of all the game’s chest pieces and leggings, respectively, while the Sunken Iron Helmet is the game’s third-best piece of headwear. As long as you don’t mind the smell, you can’t go wrong with these things.

So how do you score this soggy armor? As I mentioned, the pieces can all be found at the bottom of large bodies of water, which means there’s only one means of salvage: fishing. Every time you fish anywhere in the world, you have a chance of snagging one of the three pieces of Sunken Armor.

Of course, the game won’t let you have such strong armor for free. Your odds of obtaining any piece of Sunken Armor while fishing are approximately 1 in 8,000, which aren’t exactly reliable. Ergo, if you’re hunting down Sunken Armor, your best bet is to obtain better fishing poles and enhance them with item enchantments.

Out of the three fishing poles available, the best one for hunting items is the Collector’s Rod, which can be purchased at Shell Town. It has the highest item chance stat at X1.2, though it does have a level requirement of at least 50 to use. You can technically use any pole for the job, but the Collector’s Rod will improve your odds slightly. You can also improve them further by having an Alchemist enchant your pole with an item chance buff, though since the buffs you get from an Alchemist are random, you’ll probably need to try a few times before you can get what you need.

Once you’ve got a properly enchanted Collector’s Rod, just plop yourself down on a dock and start fishing. If luck shines upon you, you’ll reel in those Sunken Armor parts. Walk around secure in the knowledge that you’re protected by tempered steel and the smell of fish poop.
