How to Get More Mechs in Phantom Brigade

One man's trash is another man's mecha treasure.

Phantom Brigade has blasted onto the strategy gaming scene. Just coming out of its long early access period to finally being fully realized and released on February 28th. Phantom Brigade is hardcore and at times very unforgiving, and you’re going to lose a ton of mechs due to that. This is our guide on how to get more mechs in Phantom Brigade.

How to Get Mechs

After completing the First Region in the game you will unlock a workshop that will open in your base. Inside the workshop you will be able to craft new frames. Frames are the skeleton that you can graft mech parts onto. At the end of a battle you will get salvage and mech parts. For the price of 300 resources you can create a new frame. Now this is a lot of resources, so we have an alternative method that we want to talk about.

You can only do this method if you have enabled “Salvage Mech Frames” in the Difficulty options menu. The downside to this is you cannot change the difficulty options and other settings on a currently existing save. Hopefully, you are seeing this guide early in your game so you can restart and have an easier game!

If you go into patrol mission on the map you can theoretically fight as many enemies as you want and getting more resources but also while you are fighting in these patrol missions your enemies will eject from their mechs and sometimes fall over. When this happens you can salvage them and use those materials to create another mech, without wasting your 300 resources.

Obsessed with grinding, always playing some game you've never heard of. I am a huge MMORPG, Gacha and farming simulator fan. If I'm not grinding something in one of the many games I play (Final Fantasy XIV, World of Warcraft, Runescape, Epic Seven etc) I can be found working on my novel, reading, watching anime or hanging out with my three dogs.
