The quest begins with a Themestios of Saldannis, a landlord from Saldannis. He tells you about an incident that is about to turn into a Family Feud. One of the children accidentally killed a child from another family, and the family now wants revenge.

First, head to Saldannis by pulling up your Encyclopedia and heading into the Settlements menu. Click Saldannis and select the “Track” option to bring up a marker on your map. When you arrive, select to take a walk through the lands.

It’s important to note that you can press the Alt key to bring up markers for the locations of all the key characters in the questline.

Speak with Themestios of Saldannis, who will tell you to speak with his boy, Nortos. You will need to try and convince him to go to Lamenon of Spotia with you to mediate the issue between the two parties. Themestios offers 500 gold once the boy is safe.

Press Alt, and go talk to Nortos who will then join your party. The next step is to head to Spotia to face Lamenon of Spotia. Again, click the location from the quest log to bring up your encyclopedia and track the settlement.

When you arrive at Spotia, speak with Lamenon. During the dialogue, you will have a few different options to select. To persuade Lamenon, you can select the following options, though this may vary based on the level of your charm skill:

  • Option 2 – “You’re breaking the law.”
  • Option 3 – “And then the same custom will give the same rights to your enemies. Too many innocent will suffer because of your selfishness.
  • Option 1 – “He says it was an accident and his family is ready to pay the blood money for his folly. Law says you have to accept it! Otherwise, you will be punished.

If you fail to charm Lamenon, a battle will break out so be prepared to fight. There is a potential bug in this quest where you cannot progress if you fail to persuade him. We recommend following the option choices above. If you fail to persuade him with option 3, you can try option 2 instead, but this may bug the quest.

Be sure to save before getting to the previous step in case you need to reload your game to the save point if the quest bugs.
